A natural park-style recreational facility with a campground, tennis courts, and more, located in Akabayashiyamayamarei, 855m above sea level in the southwest of Morioka City. There is a cycling terminal and a history and folklore museum within the facility, where you can learn about Iwate's history while enjoying its natural surroundings.

Iwate prefectural skating rink

The large grounds are spaciously equipped with an ice hockey rink, a figure rink, and a speed rink. Where you ski depends on your level and purpose. It's an outdoor skating rink, so be sure to take precautions against the cold.

Morioka Racecourse Aurora Park

It opened in the spring of 1996 on a total site area of 128 ha, the largest site in Japan, with a turf course, the first of its kind for local horse racing. It is equipped with a large screen and indoor standing room with a view of the paddock. It looks like it would be fun to spread out a lunch box with your family on the grass field.

A comprehensive sports park that includes an athletics field, auxiliary field, baseball field (rubber ball), rugby field, soccer field, tennis court, Japanese garden, children's playground, traffic park, and climbing field. A new bouldering alley was completed in 2020.
