The three-story building contains a regional information center, Tanakadate Aikichi Memorial Museum, Shigeo Fukuda Design Museum, a civic hall, and a culture room, making it a core facility for disseminating information to the city and beyond.

Joboji lacquerware

Joboji lacquerware began when the monks of Tendaiji invited craftsmen from Kyoto to make fixtures for use at the temple, and has inherited over 1,200 years of history, with Tendaiji culture overlapping. They are made using locally produced lacquer, which boasts the highest quality and quantity in Japan, using a base method called the ``Makiji method.'' It is a solid base with unparalleled strength and does not use water, and is characterized by its simplicity and practicality, with no unnecessary colors or patterns.

Cassiopeia Messe Nanyato

``Cassiopeia Messe Nanyato'' was born as an information dissemination facility, coined from the Bon dance ``Nanyato-yara'', which is traditional in the Ninohe metropolitan area and the Kita-Ou region. There is an observation deck at a height of 33.6 meters, and you can see Mt. Orizume, Masenkyo, and Ninohe city. It also has an event hall, conference room, etc., and can be used for multiple purposes.
