Roadside Station “Oritsume” Ododekan Restaurant

This facility overlooks the Prefectural Natural Park and allows you to enjoy your meal while relaxing and feeling nature. The local cuisine, ``Hitsumi Set Meal,'' has a soup stock made from young local chicken that gives it even more depth. Outside, we grill ``kushimochi'' every day. Mochi made from wheat flour is an important local snack, and is a masterpiece of Kita-Iwate's Konamon culture. The roadside station also has a wide selection of Kunohe village specialties such as sweet tea and mountain fruit juice.

Orizume Gotaki

There are five waterfalls flowing halfway up the Kunohe village side of Mt. Oritsume, which is designated as a prefectural designated park. Each waterfall has its own name, and is located along the forest road that leads to the top.

Hometown Creation Museum

The village's former wealthy farmer's private house, built in the Taisho era, was relocated and rebuilt. Although it is a one-story building, it boasts an area of ​​140 tsubo (140 tsubo), with a large hall of 35 tatami mats, a room with an irori and a stove, and an exhibition corner of folk and agricultural tools, allowing you to experience the lifestyle of the past.
