The former Joboji Town (currently Ninohe City), Ichinohe Town, Ninohe City, Kunohe Village, and Karumai Town in the northern part of Iwate Prefecture look very similar to the constellation Cassiopeia, which shines in the northern night sky. In 1991, it was named "Cassiopeia Federation" to promote the image of the region. In order to promote the "Cassiopeia Federation" more widely, in July 2013, 13 people who are active in the local area were appointed as "Hospitality Section Managers," and the "Cassiopeia Federation Bureau Hospitality Section" was born. Since then, the number of "hospitality section managers" has continued to increase.
