The Karumai Summer Festival is held for three days in the center of Karumai Town. While Tanabata decorations are displayed in the center of the town, events and fireworks are held in the central shopping district, and on the final day, large crowds dance through the Tanabata decorations in the Bon dance, ``Nanya Doyara'', which is traditional in this region.
