*This event will not be held in 2025 due to the tree-planting festival. The Prefectural Natural Park Mt. Goyo boasts an outstanding landscape as the highest peak on the Sanriku coast, and is also a treasure trove of alpine plants. In particular, azaleas form a large colony from Akasaka Pass to Tatamiishi, and the sight of their red flowers blooming all at once is a sight that heralds the beginning of the Mt. Goyou climbing season. On that day, we will pray for safety at Hie Shrine at the summit.
