My Recommendations for Local Attractions and Must-See Local Tourism Information

Iwate Prefecture is surrounded by the ocean, mountains, rivers, and great nature. It’s an attractive place to live in every season.
The “Morioka Autumn Festival “Dashi”, which is held for three days from September 14th at the end of summer, is a regular festival of Morioka Hachimangu Shrine, a shrine connected to the Nanbu domain, which boasts a tradition of about 300 years. It is a festival in which stylish-looking southerners parade through the city pulling gorgeous floats while chanting “Yayare, Yayare.” It’s also wonderful to see the lively music, see the onlookers in yukata, and feel the heat of the rest of summer!

The main building is adjacent to Morioka Station and is a base for sightseeing in Iwate, including Rikuchu, Hiraizumi, and Hachimantai. Great location for business and leisure. Our functional facilities and sophisticated services will surely leave you satisfied. In winter, you can also use it as a lodging at the ski resorts around Morioka, which are in the spotlight.
NEW WING is a 3 minute walk from the main building. A top-class city hotel in Morioka, with the concept of “a hotel-like hotel,” aiming to be a step above in terms of facilities and services. We welcome you with our warm hospitality. Enjoy your time and peace.

Short Message

In the past, Mt. Iwate was praised as being very good-looking, but it is said that he gradually became arrogant and chased away his wife, Mt. Himekami. It is said that Himekamiyama, who was in trouble, befriended Hayachine Mineyama whom he met on the way, but Iwateyama, who did not like this, demanded, “Give Himegamiyama back!” and he and Hayachine Mountain blew fire from his head and poured lava. Apparently it turned into a big fight. Iwateyama won the fight. After that, Hayachine Mineyama is said to have been separated from the two and driven to the Kitakami Highlands. Even now, it seems that even on a clear day, some of the mountains are covered in clouds or fog, making it extremely rare to see all the mountains at the same time. Don’t you think “Iwate Sanzan Legend” is interesting? I love looking at Mt. Iwate. I would like to climb a mountain someday.
