This hot spring is made mainly of baking soda spewed out from the mordenite strata, which is one of the few in the country. It is very popular as a ``beauty bath'' that makes your skin smooth after bathing and washes away fat and secretions from your skin just by soaking in it.

Appi Onsen Shirakaba no Yu (day trip bathing facility) [Appi Onsen]

AIPP Onsen Patio opened as "Shirakaba no Yu" on July 22, 2017. The open-air bath, where you can feel the warmth of wood, has an arbor-style roof, and you can see the great nature of the Appi Highlands during the day, and the starry sky at night. It is a relaxing space with a large public bath that can accommodate 200 men and women at a time, and one of the largest saunas in Japan. It is also directly connected to the ANA Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen "Onsen Building" (formerly Appi Kogen Onsen Hotel) via a corridor.
