Appi Lacquerware Workshop

The former Ashiro town was blessed with high-quality lacquer and raw wood, and was widely known as ``Arasawa lacquerware'' since the feudal period. Production was sluggish after the war due to the rise of plastic lacquerware, but Ashiro Shikki Kobo continues this tradition and continues to create easy-to-use lacquerware under the new name ``Appi-nuri.'' Using a generous amount of domestic lacquer, it is coated over 10 times from the base to the top coat, and is attractive for its vivid color and the deeper flavor that emerges the more you use it.

Hachimantai Onsen Village

Hachimantai Onsenkyo began in 1972, when the former Matsuo Village took center stage and drew hot water from the Matsukawa Geothermal Power Plant in a 6km area. A resort that overlooks the beautiful ridgeline of Mt. Iwate to the south and the mountain range of Hachimantai to the north, and has accommodation facilities such as hot spring hotels, inns, pensions, and guesthouses. In winter, the slopes of the Hachimantai Resort Ski Resort stretch out with Mt. Iwate in the background, and the illuminated ski slopes look absolutely magical.

Unosumai Tomos

Completed in March 2019 in front of Sanriku Railway Rias Line Unosumai Station. The Earthquake Memorial Park was created as a place to pass on the memories and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake to future generations, as well as a place where people can relax and get to know each other and feel the importance and wonder of life. ``Miraikan, which connects lives,'' a facility for transmitting the history of the earthquake and learning about disaster prevention; ``Kamaishi Prayer Park,'' a memorial facility for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake; and ``Unosato Exchange Center,'' where you can eat and purchase souvenirs. ”

Yamabundo juice

Since ancient times, wild grapes have been said to be good for recovering from fatigue, fortifying the body, and because they contain a lot of iron, they are also good for anemia. ``Yamabundo Juice'' is made from a hybrid of wild mountain grapes and Sabel grapes. Katsuraan

A soba restaurant located at the foot of Tendaiji Temple. The temple was named by the honorary chief priest, Jakucho Setouchi, from the many Katsura trees surrounding the temple. It is a chewy and fragrant soba that is popular among tourists.

Fujisawa B&G Marine Center

This is an indoor heated pool that can be used all year round and the room temperature is kept above 30 degrees all year round. We have a competition pool (25m x 6 courses), a children's pool, a Jacuzzi pool with a water temperature of 40 degrees, a heating room, and a training room (with weight machines, etc.). We also have a variety of swimming clubs, where professional instructors provide direct instruction.

Since its founding in 1891, Koiwai Farm has created a lush green environment through its consistent efforts in agriculture, forestry, and livestock production. The history of Koiwai Farm, which spans more than 130 years, is the history of Japan's livestock industry, including dairy farming, and the history of the development of its production processes and technology. We offer guided tours and experience programs to show you the wonders of nature and the production site, which is closed to the public. These tour programs won the Grand Prize at the 10th Ecotourism Awards jointly sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and the Japan Ecotourism Association, and the 8th Industrial Tourism and Urban Development Awards sponsored by the Japan Tourism Promotion Association.
