homespun
Homespun is a textile that has been handed down to farmers in Scotland, England. Homespun means "spinning yarn at home." Homespun was introduced to various parts of Japan at the end of the Meiji period, but it gradually became obsolete due to various factors such as regional characteristics and lack of successors, and currently only remains in Morioka City and Hanamaki City. The carefully selected wool is dyed, spun, and woven by hand, creating a light yet warm product.
