Farm Direct Plaza Fureai Park Yamada

*The previously operating roadside station ``Yamada'' has relocated and opened near the Yamada IC, and is currently operating under the name ``Farm Direct Plaza Fureai Park Yamada.'' It is located along National Route 45, which runs through Yamada Town from north to south. Specialty products such as Yamada rice crackers are sold, and in season there is a wide selection of mountain and seafood products such as matsutake mushrooms, salmon, and scallops. It also provides event and tourist information, and is close to leisure facilities such as Funakoshi Family Travel Village. At the restaurant, ``Sanrikuiso Ramen'' and ``Yamada Oyster Ramen'' are popular.

Yamada Senbei

Half-baked rice crackers made with rice flour from Iwate Prefecture mixed with plenty of black sesame seeds. The more you chew, the more the flavor comes out and becomes addictive. It can be eaten grilled, fried, or even raw.
