Chie Falls

An unexplored waterfall that can only be seen by those who are prepared to crawl over it. Chie-no-taki is a 30-minute drive from Anabata Station on the JR Hanawa Line, then a 30-minute walk.

All of the building's structural and interior materials, as well as furniture such as chairs, are made from local materials such as larch and Japanese red pine. A facility where you can experience the beauty and beauty of wood, with a focus on locally produced wood for local consumption.

Mikaeri Pass

Climbing up the Hachimantai Aspite Line, there is a Mikaeri Pass parking lot and a mountaintop rest house at the border of Akita Prefecture, with a great view and a panoramic view of the Ura-Iwate Mountain Range that extends from Mt. Iwate. On the walking path from the parking lot to the top, there is an observation deck on the Mikaeri Pass ridgeline, from which you can see not only Mt. Iwate, but also Mt. Hayachine and Mt. Akita Komagatake. If the weather is good, you can also see Mt. Chokai.
