Tono’s Story House

Tono is home to the ``Makashiwagura'' where you can learn about the world of folk tales, the ``Yanagita Kunio Exhibition Room'', which relocated the Takazen Ryokan where Kunio Yanagida stayed and the main house where he spent his later years, and the ``Tono-za'' where you can enjoy folk tales and local performing arts. You can experience the world of folk tales. Roadside station “Miyamori”

It is located in the center of Miyamori Town, halfway along National Route 283, which connects the inland and coastal areas of Iwate Prefecture. The ``Fureai Information Plaza'' inside the roadside station sells agricultural products and wasabi processed products produced in the town, and provides information on sightseeing spots and events in the town. The rest corner and restrooms are available 24 hours a day. Adjacent to a shopping center, nearby is the Meganebashi Bridge, which is reminiscent of Kenji Miyazawa's ``Night on the Galaxy Railway'' and has become a symbol of the town.

Roadside Station Miyamori Meganebashi Direct Sales Office

A direct sales shop located on the premises of the roadside station Miyamori along National Route 283. In addition to selling fresh locally harvested vegetables, there are also processed products made with wasabi grown in clean, cold water, such as wasabi lees pickles, wasabi miso, tassobe pickles, and wasabi soft drinks.
