Every year, during the autumn leaves season, large chrysanthemums, bonsai chrysanthemums, and senrinza flowers, which have been painstakingly cultivated by chrysanthemum lovers from within the prefecture and children in the town, are displayed in front of the main hall and on the approach to the temple grounds, and are the subject of much praise. A chrysanthemum memorial service is also held during the festival.
