A festival of folk arts. Folk performing arts from within and outside the prefecture are presented on all three days, but on the second night in particular, there are large group dances such as ``Onikenbu'' and ``Shikaodori,'' which have been well-received. On the first night, a citizen parade (dance) and mikoshi parade are held with all citizens participating, and on the third night, one of the largest fireworks festivals in Tohoku is held at Kitakami Kawara with trolleys (lanterns) floating. . One of the purposes of this festival is to pass down folk performing arts and to train successors, and it has received high praise.
