The Nanbu Kobiki Uta National Tournament is an event unique to the Kawai area of Miyako City, which has lived with the blessings of the mountains. The wood turning technique, which is no longer practiced, is recreated with songs, and the event focuses on the relationship with wood, while the sounds of the preliminaries and finals echo through the mountains.
