I think the charm of Tono is the old stories, the traditional scenery, and above all, the atmosphere that you can feel at ease in the sight of the seasonal scenery, the smell of the air that you can feel on your skin, and the atmosphere that Tono has.
My favorite tourist spot is Ukotori. There is a legend that says, “If you make a wish to the lord of this edge, a relationship between a man and a woman will be miraculously brought together.” There is still a small shrine here, and many women visit this shrine because it is said that if they can tie a red cloth with their wishes written on it using just their left hand, they will be able to find a new relationship.

We operate the Tono Station Tourist Information Center, attract tourists, and conduct tourism promotion activities.
We are involved in the overall management of tourism by cooperating with the secretariats of organizations such as Tono Furusato Tourist Guide and Tono City Tourism Supporters, as well as citizen groups involved in tourism.

I work at a tourist information center every day, and in addition to answering the counter, I also receive many inquiries over the phone. All of our staff members are working hard to provide information that will make people who are interested in Tono want to visit Tono.
