Tono is home to many historical sites and famous places in its natural surroundings.
Among them, my recommended tourist spot is Zokuishi. It is also connected to the legend of Yoshitsune’s journey northward, and there is also a legend that Musashibo Benkei lifted it up.

In 2002, we conducted a tourism volunteer guide/travel instructor training project in Tono City with a management grant from Iwate Prefecture. Since then, we have held training courses every year and gradually increased the number of guides. We are a group that can provide excursion guides, and we provide tours throughout Tono City, including tourist facilities, historical sites, and famous spots.
