Iso Ramen is said to have been created in Otsuchi Town in 1969. Today, it has become a standard ramen in restaurants along the coast of Iwate Prefecture.
The ramen is richly topped with seafood and seaweed unique to Sanriku and has the aroma of the seashore. The ramen has a light and gentle flavor.
