    Shizukuishi Ski Resort

    This ski resort was the venue for the 1993 Alpine Skiing World Championships. The course has a wide variety of variations, and its specialty is a downhill course with a total length of 4,500 meters that has a variety of steep, gentle, and medium slopes. This is a famous course where the world's top racers have actually competed. There is also a course for beginners, so it is a ski resort that everyone from beginners to advanced skiers can enjoy.

    Shizukuishi Prince Hotel [Shizukuishi Takakura Onsen]

    In front of the open-air bath is a pond almost as high as the hot spring, where you can watch carp swimming while soaking in the hot spring water. The mountain-side rooms offer an up-close view of majestic Mt.     Iwate Kogen Snow Park

    You can enjoy the only 2km-long gondola in Morioka Shizukuishi area. Both beginner and intermediate skiers can enjoy long gondola runs. Elementary school students and younger are free to ride the gondolas all day, and the prices are family-friendly. A shuttle bus operates from Morioka Station.
