Frontier Hot Spring [Appi Toyohata Onsen] (Day trip bathing facility)

Frontier Hot Spring opened in 1998. The large public bath is also equipped with a sauna. The hypotonic, weakly alkaline high temperature spring (sodium spring) is amber in color and offers a variety of surprising effects when used for bathing or drinking. The self-catering building also has private facilities, so you can easily enjoy a hot spring bath for a long stay. The rest room can be used as a nap room from 5pm, and there is also a coin laundry, so it is popular with touring customers. Across the road, we also run Onsen Minshuku Kawano, which boasts reasonable prices and local cuisine.

Dishes made with local ingredients in hot springs fed directly from the source. You can enjoy ingredients unique to Hachimantai City, such as Hachimantai's specialty guinea fowl, rainbow trout, and Dicentra tochucha pork.
