    The Kobo cherry tree, which is designated as a natural monument in Shizukuishi Town, is an Edohigan cherry tree that is approximately 800 years old. It is said that when Kobo Daishi visited this area a long time ago, he used a cherry blossom branch as a walking stick and it took root, and it blooms beautifully around Golden Week every year.
