Mt. Mitsuishi

It is located approximately in the middle of the Ura-Iwate Mountain Range course that runs from Mt. Iwate to Hachimantai. It is a mountain where sticky lava erupted from the center of the gently sloping mountain, and its name comes from the fact that the area around the summit looks like three peaks from any direction. Mitsuishi Sanso is located in Mitsuishi Wetland, which has a pond and wetlands. Altitude: 1,466m. The Amihari course is suitable for the general public, starting from Amihari Onsen, passing through the Mitsuishi Wetlands, and then reaching the summit of the mountain.

Koiwai Farm Makibaen

One of the largest private integrated farms in Japan, popular as a spot connected to Kenji Miyazawa. At the tourist area "Makiba-en" located in the center of the farm, you can enjoy various attractions and gourmet food, as well as guided tours of production sites that are closed to the public. In February 2017, 21 buildings on the farm were designated as nationally designated important cultural properties.

Genbu Onsen

A hot spring located 10km north of Shizukuishi Town, along the road to Amihari Onsen. The Kakoneda River flows nearby, making it a quiet environment perfect for relaxation. It is also a convenient base for mountain stream fishing and autumn foliage viewing. Chloride hot spring containing sodium bicarbonate. Effective for rheumatism and neuralgia. There are three accommodation facilities.
