Ohira Park

This park is located near the Kamaishi Daikannon, and on the observation deck there is the ``Japan-China Eternal Peace Statue,'' which comforts the spirits of Chinese people who were forcibly taken from China and died during the war, and pledges friendship between Japan and China.

Former Kamaishi Mine Office

Originally the general office of Kamaishi Mining Co., Ltd. Nationally registered tangible cultural property. It is also the largest iron mine in Japan and one of the leading copper mines in Japan. This is a facility that widely promotes Kamaishi Mine. It's perfect for learning about history and geology, with a floor that recreates the Kamaishi Mining School and mining office, and an exhibition corner of ore from the mines.
