A single cherry tree blooms heavily on a small hill overlooking Mt. Iwate in the distance. When the shrine was relocated, this cherry tree, which was the only one left in the area where the shrine once stood, blooms beautifully every year and is a sight to behold. It is not known when it was planted, but it is thought that it was a sacred tree. It has become widely known as the filming location for the movie "Operetta Tanuki Goten" starring Joe Odagiri, and cherry blossom viewing visitors come from inside and outside the prefecture. On a clear day, the contrast with the blue sky is spectacular!
