Shinyu Campsite

Located at the foot of Mt. Kurikoma, there is a municipal resort surrounded by a vast virgin beech forest, where families can enjoy tennis courts, athletics, a fishing pond, Jubujubu square, and promenades. There are 20 tent sites, a kitchen, and a toilet.

Sugawa campground

Sugawa Plateau, which spreads out at the northern foot of Mt. Kurikoma, is connected to the city by National Route 342 and is a base for mountain climbing and hiking. The campsite at an altitude of 1,120m costs 100 yen per person per day (200 yen for one night stay). Please prepare your own tent and fuel. There is a hot spring nearby.

Minamiiwate Country Club

The 18-hole course is built on a hill with a height difference of 30 meters, with views of the Kitakami Mountain Range to the east and the Ou Mountain Range to the west.
