Koishihama is a brand of scallops from Ofunato that is known for its large scallops, thick flesh, and rich flavor. Why not take a fishing boat out to sea with Ofunato City's fishermen who make a living by cultivating scallops? On the boat, local fishermen will tell you local stories and their own experiences during the Great East Japan Earthquake as they operate their fishing boats. For an additional 500 yen, you can tour the farm where they produce the branded scallops ``Koishihama'' and even sample ``Koshihama'' fresh from the sea on the spot. The taste of the freshest scallops eaten on the sea is truly exquisite!

learning effect
By learning about the lives and thoughts of people who make a living in the primary industry, you will deepen your understanding of food and producers.
