All-Japan Agriculture Hatate Gathering

Oshu City

Southern Iwate

Second Saturday of February every year

We are reviving the annual event ``No-Hadate,'' which was held in the past to pray for a year's good harvest and safety in farming, with the aim of reconsidering the splendor of Japan's ancient culture. This event has been held since 1990. The mid-winter festival will be enlivened by the reenactment of one of the events, ``Niwa Tae-ue'', the Yakuten Ren pair dance, lucky mochi pounding, and winter sky fireworks.
