Hayachine Shrine Annual Festival

There is a passing of the omikoshi, a parade of over 40 Gongen-sama statues led by mountain priests blowing conch shells, and a Kagura performance by children, who parade in long lines along the road. The night before, both Gaku and Taisai Kagura perform in concert for six hours at the Kagura Hall. Hayachine Kagura, which has been designated as a national important intangible folk cultural property, is performed for two days, and the shrine grounds are filled with tourists from both inside and outside the prefecture.
