Hayashi stalls decorated by each town group parade through the town to the beat of quaint music. The excitement of the festival reaches its climax during the ``soraiuchi''. This is the climax of the festival, where stalls from each town group compete to show off their gorgeous hayashi under the light of lanterns.
In 2020, it was designated as an intangible folk cultural property by Iwate Prefecture.
