The Hei River Fishing Tournament continues to be held without interruption thanks to the support of many fishing fans. Participants compete by weighing three fish in two categories: Yamame trout and char. A condition of participation is to collect at least five empty cans and bottles, and a river cleanup operation is also being carried out at the same time. Participants gathered at Yamabiko Farm Direct Hall, the reception venue, and waited for the gong to be sounded at 5 a.m. in the morning.
