The Murone Shrine Special Festival is a festival that continues to be passed down in its old form, which has a history of about 1,300 years. The festival is characterized by the fact that the priests who serve in the festival are descendants of ancient priests, and it has been designated as a nationally important intangible folk cultural property. During the period, floats, daimyo parades, and horse vanguards parade through the town, and a ritual is held at Murone Shrine from early morning on the final day.Mikoshi depart from the main shrine and Shingu shrine and run down Mt. Murone to the temporary shrine in the town. Compete. Due to its bravery, it is counted as one of the three major festivals in Oshu and has over 300 festivals.
