This autumn festival is held to welcome the autumn season of Karumai. The festival is enriched by the passing of mikoshi, the operation of floats by six groups in the town, and group dances by local performing arts.
It is a spectacular sight to see the procession marching about 2 kilometers through the town center, with the wooden statue of Sarutahiko no Mikoto, an important cultural property designated by the town, at the head of the procession.
Additionally, fire drills and Karumai Ondo nagashi dance are held on Chunichi.
