    The area near the summit of Mt. Orizume has abundant spring water and a Quercus oak forest, making it one of the largest habitats for fireflies in Japan. In 2018, it was designated as a natural monument by Iwate Prefecture as the ``Himefirefly Habitat of Mt. Orizume.'' Enjoy the magical dance of light as the 1 million Himebotaru fireflies flicker and sparkle.
    *In order to protect the environment where Himefireflies live, traffic restrictions will be implemented during the following peak viewing periods.
    Wednesday, July 5, 2020 to Tuesday, July 12, 19:30 to 21:00

    Those who wish to view the event must apply on the website at least two days in advance. Please note that those without reservations will not be able to view the show during the above period.

    *Reservations for firefly viewing for Reiwa 5 will be accepted from noon on Sunday, June 25th.
