Michinoku Folk Village is an open-air museum that restores and preserves historical buildings such as old folk houses, merchant houses, and samurai residences in the Kitakami River basin. Once a year, a festival with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere is held during the autumn season. There are also hands-on experiences such as old-fashioned games, sweets making, and a farm work experience corner.
