The Genbi district of Ichinoseki City was once the manor of Chusonji Temple, which was called ``Honedera Village,'' and even today, the beautiful traditional Japanese rural landscape remains.
Every year, a ceremony is held in which freshly harvested rice harvested from the paddy fields in Honedera Village Manor is dedicated to Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi Town.
