A comfortable ski resort with 100% lift operation rate and unaffected by bad weather. With a longest run distance of 2,000m, there are five courses with a wide variety of ski slopes that can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to experts. Lead Hot Spring Fujisan Ryokan (Hanamaki City)
A hot spring that opened about 600 years ago. “Fujisan Ryokan”, a single-family inn, has been selected as one of the “New Japan 100 Famous Hot Springs” and “Japanese Hot Spring Heritage Sites.” It is a place that Kenji Miyazawa often visited, and is also known for being the setting for the novel “Ginshinju.”
Shirazaru no Yu, the deepest bath in Japan that can be entered while standing, is particularly popular, with hot spring bathers visiting from all over the country. The 100% free-flowing hot springs will soothe your tired body after skiing.

Akabane Ski Resort, located in Akabane Pass, can be enjoyed all year round, with camping in the summer and skiing in the winter. There are three courses that can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to advanced snowboarders. There is also a children’s play area, making it a popular ski resort for families. There are also night games available on weekdays, and lodges and bungalows are also available.

Odishika Onsen (Tono City)
Odishika Onsen, located in the Odishika district, which is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Tono City, the land of folk tales, is a natural cold mineral spring with one of the highest concentrations of radon in the prefecture. The color of the hot water is brown and looks cloudy, but it is effective for gout, arteriosclerosis, chronic digestive diseases, etc. Drinking hot springs are also available.
The hot springs after skiing are also special. It will gradually soothe your tired body.

The abundant snowfall is attractive.
You can see Mt. Chokai from the summit of Mt. Shigaku, which is 563 meters above sea level. This town-run ski resort is full of ups and downs, with some steep and gentle slopes, and can be enjoyed by the whole family, from advanced skiers to beginners. There is also plenty of snow.

Sawauchi Baden (Nishiwaga Town)
Shigaku Onsen Sawauchi Baden, located just off Prefectural Route 1 connecting Iwate and Akita prefectures, is a natural hot spring with slightly alkaline calcium and sodium sulfate springs. The hot water that flows directly from the source has a temperature of 40 to 42 degrees Celsius, making it safe for children to enjoy a relaxing soak. It is said to be effective for treating arteriosclerosis, neuralgia, and sensitivity to cold.
Located next to Shigaku Ski Resort, it is convenient for use after skiing.

“Snow Kingdom Natsuyu Plateau” is attractive for its abundant snowfall, powder snow, and long season.
The largest full-fledged ski resort in southern Iwate Prefecture. Boasting one of the highest snowfalls in Honshu, it maintains a stable amount of snowfall even in mild winters. The appeal is that you can enjoy it for a long time. The snow quality is high-quality powder snow, and there are more than 30 days each year where you can enjoy powder snow. Natsuyu Kogen Onsen (Kitakami City)
Natsuyu Kogen Onsen is a natural hot spring that is a simple hot spring (hypotonic and weakly alkaline hot spring). Both the large-view open-air bath and the indoor bath use plenty of natural hot spring water, so you can thoroughly relax. There is also a far infrared sauna where you can enjoy the view of the plateau. The far infrared rays and low temperatures stimulate sweating from the core of the body.
The well-equipped Natsuyu Kogen Onsen will soothe the fatigue of skiing, snowboarding, etc.

Matsuri Snow Land has two lifts and one rope tow, making it a popular family ski slope.

Shinyu Onsen (Ichinoseki City)
Located in the great nature of Kurikoma Quasi-National Park, Shinyu Onsen is known as the “Naoshiyu” of Sugawa Kogen Onsen. You can enjoy different kinds of hot water in the indoor bath and the outdoor bath, and the open-air bath, which is muddy brown in color, becomes a snow-viewing bath in winter.
About 5 minutes by car from Matsuri Snow Land. You can also use it for après-ski.
