Tankaku beef is different from the commonly known marbled meat, as it is mostly low-fat, red beef, and has the meat's natural flavor. Recommended for those who are concerned about consuming too much fat and those who want to enjoy the natural flavor of beef. It has also been selected as a "World Heritage Site of Food" by the Slow Food International Association. These cows were raised healthy in "Natsuyama Fuyusato".
