[Summer] 100 Forests for Forest Bathing – Secondary beech forest of Appi Highlands
Beech is a deciduous tree that represents wetland forests, and is a broad-leaved tree that represents Japan. Around Appi Plateau, they live at approximately 600 to 1100 meters above sea level. This secondary beech forest is a beech forest that was created in the early Showa era when seeds that fell from parent trees that were cut down for burning charcoal and firewood germinated.
