The current National Route 455 (Komoto Kaido) is a 97 km road that connects Morioka to Omoto on the Rikuchu coast. In the past, there is a history in which various things that are indispensable to life were exchanged between cows and people, and many cultures were born from this. One of these is the Nanbu Ushio Uta, which has been sung from generation to generation as a representative folk song of Iwate Prefecture. Every September, a national competition for the Nanbu Ushi Oori Uta is held in Iwaizumi Town, and you can get a glimpse of the ox squad and cows that used to travel along the Omoto Kaido.
Iwaizumi Town, which boasts the largest area in Honshu, is surrounded by lush nature, and matsutake mushrooms, a bounty of nature, are especially famous as a specialty of the town. The pine mushroom sake “Mori no Takara” (Izumikin Sake Brewery), which is made using these pine mushrooms and the town’s proud “Ryusendo Cave water”, which has been selected as one of the top 100 famous waters, is a particularly recommended item!
You’ll understand when you go. You’ll understand when you see. The mystery of Dragon Blue…”Ryusendo Cave.”
Would you like to go see it with me?
We would like to stage a trip with heartfelt hospitality so that as many of our guests as possible will become “Iwate fans”.
