Iwate Kura Beer

Iwate Kura Beer is committed to locally produced beer, and contracts with farmers and agricultural cooperatives to grow wheat and process malt. Active fermentation at room temperature produces a flavorful beer packed with vitamins and other micronutrients. We produce fresh, healthy beer without any filtration or sterilization to preserve flavor and nutrition.

Yabuya Hanamaki main store

Established in 1923, this is a ``famous wanko soba'' restaurant. For Wanko Soba, the waitstaff serves you one bowl at a time and stacks the bowls in front of you. If you reach 100 cups, you will be certified as a ``Yokozuna.'' (A certificate and souvenir were given to him, as well as a commemorative notebook.) Kenji Miyazawa was also a patron of this restaurant, and it is said that he liked to order ``tempura soba and cider.''

Iwate Kogen Snow Park

You can enjoy the only 2km long gondola in the Morioka Shizukuishi area. The long gondola course is attractive to both beginners and intermediate skiers. The lift gondola is free for children under elementary school age all day long, making it family-friendly. A shuttle bus runs from Morioka Station.

Genbikei Onsen

Genbikei Gorge has a clear and calm stream that has created a beautiful valley over many years. After enjoying the ancient capital of Hiraizumi and Genbikei to your heart's content, you'll want to take a relaxing soak in the hot springs.
