Goshono ruins
On July 27, 2021, the "Jomon Ruins in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku", including the Goshono Ruins, was decided to be registered as a World Heritage Site at the 44th World Heritage Committee meeting (held online).
The remains of a large village from the middle of the Jomon period, a nationally designated Goshono Heritage site.
Inside the park, features such as pit dwellings and stone circles have been restored.
At the museum, you can learn about the Jomon period, the Goshono ruins, and the culture of this area.
The wooden pedestrian bridge that connects the ruins to the parking lot, ``Kikiki no Tsurihashi,'' is also worth a visit.
