Harutate Land Takada Matsubara, which was located near the coast, was completely washed away in the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the fields where crops were grown were also severely damaged. However, the union members put together their collective efforts and reopened the store in June 2011 at a temporary store in Takekoma-cho, the same city. We sell fresh vegetables, handmade sweets, and other items that are just as they were before the disaster.

Shirouo caught at the mouth of the Kesen River. It has become synonymous with the taste of spring. To eat, season with vinegar and soy sauce to taste and swallow in one gulp. Since there are no scales, the smooth texture is irresistible. If you're lucky, you'll see Shirouo at the market in the city. Also perfect for soups.

Local sake Suisen

A sake brewery in Rikuzentakata City. We brew sake and shochu, so you can enjoy seasonal drinks. Although it suffered catastrophic damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake, it has been successfully revived. We have opened a new factory, Ofunato Kura, in Ofunato City, and are still serving the same alcoholic beverages as before. Junmai cold sake is popular in the summer, and ``Yukikko'' is popular in the winter.
