One of the specialties of Genbikei Gorge is "Kakko-ya's Kakko-Dango. The store is located on the other side of the stream, and when you put money in the basket that hangs from the rope and tap the board with a mallet, the basket is pulled up and the dango you ordered comes down with tea in it instead. It is said that it is because of the many years of experience that the tea in the basket reaches the customer without spilling.
