Shorthorn beef raised freely on large pastures is a healthy beef with low fat and a high red color. The ``Iwaizumi Teishoku'', which mainly consists of tender braised beef, is a popular dish. In addition, the noodles of ``Acorn Ramen'', which can only be tasted here, are made using wheat flour from Iwate Prefecture and special acorn flour.

A long-established confectionery shop that represents Iwaizumi Town. There are a variety of sweets made with chestnuts, such as chestnut yokan, chestnut squeezed, and chestnut chestnut marron. All of them have a simple taste that makes the most of the chestnut flavor.

Shitaameya

A long-established confectionery shop located on the Iwaizumi-cho Odori shopping street. The walnut yokan uses local walnuts from the Iwaizumi region and is finished in a yokan that brings out the flavor. Milk rice crackers are made from milk grown on the highlands of Iwaizumi, and are crispy with a rich buttery flavor. We also sell homemade bread at the store.
