Fureai Land Iwaizumi

*Closed for reopening. (scheduled to open in May 2025) "Fureai Rando Iwaizumi" has an auto campsite, cottages and trailer houses, a barbecue plaza, an artificial slope for sled riding, playground equipment, and a plaza, where families can relax and play in the great outdoors. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of a train trip on the "Blue Train Nihonkai," where sleeping carriages can be used as accommodations in the same condition as when they were operated.

Yotoke market

It is located on the way from Morioka to Ryusendo Cave. We sell agricultural products grown with safety and security as our motto, as well as kushimochi handmade by local mothers, dengaku tofu, salt-grilled sweetfish, and more. Enjoy seasonal meals as well.

Local cuisine (acorn dishes, etc.)

Acorns have been eaten since the Jomon period. "Donguri Ramen" is made by removing the lye from acorn flour produced in the town and mixing it with the ingredients for Chinese noodles, and is characterized by its firmness and smooth texture. Hitsumi and tofu dengaku are also available.
