A "hut" serving seasonal Iwaizumi ingredients is now open at restaurants and lodging facilities in the town.
The menu features dishes that make the most of local ingredients in spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the fall, you can enjoy dishes centered on locally grown "matsutake" (matsutake mushrooms).

Local cuisine (acorn dishes, etc.)

Acorns have been eaten since the Jomon period. "Donguri Ramen" is made by removing the lye from acorn flour produced in the town and mixing it with the ingredients for Chinese noodles, and is characterized by its firmness and smooth texture. Hitsumi and tofu dengaku are also available.

Ryusendo Cave Wakka

The Ryusendo Cave Tourist Hall, which was located across from Ryusendo Cave, opened in April 2023 as a new exchange base, ``Ryusendo Wakka''. We sell a wide variety of products that can only be purchased in this area, including specialty products such as Iwaizumi yogurt, as well as vegetables and seafood from Iwaizumi and the surrounding area, local specialty sweets, and local sake.

Iwaizumi Shorthorn Beef

Tankaku beef is different from the commonly known marbled meat, as it is mostly low-fat, red beef, and has the meat's natural flavor. Recommended for those who are concerned about consuming too much fat and those who want to enjoy the natural flavor of beef. It has also been selected as a "World Heritage Site of Food" by the Slow Food International Association. These cows were raised healthy in "Natsuyama Fuyusato".
