Hidaka Shrine

It is said to have been founded in the first year of Konin (710) in the early Heian period, and rebuilt in the first year of Shocho (1428). On the grounds is the Tachiarai River Monument, where Yawata Taro Yoshiie is said to have washed the sword with which he killed Abe Sadato. The main shrine is designated as a national important cultural property. It is also known as the shrine for the Hidaka Fire Prevention Festival.

Kitadate cherry blossoms

The Edohigan cherry tree is said to have been planted by a pilgrim monk named Nansobou around 1300 at the place where the Abe family lived and met in Kitadate.Estimated to be 700 years old, root circumference 7m20cm, tree height 19m, a natural tree in Oshu City. Nationally designated historic site Izawa Castle Ruins

Isawa Castle, built by Sakanoue Tamuramaro in Enryaku 21 (802), is a square castle surrounded by a 675-meter-long earthen wall, and many government offices, including the government office, were located within the castle. . It has been designated as a national historic site, and as excavations progress, valuable materials have been discovered, including wooden tablets, earthenware with letters inscribed on them, as well as lacquer paper documents containing the history of the castle and the soldiers who worked at the castle.
