    It is known as the first "community center" in Japan.
    　It was built and donated in November 1941. The donor was Shoriki Matsutaro, then president of the Yomiuri Shimbun, who was a close friend of Goto Shinpei, and it was presented to him on the 13th anniversary of his death as a token of gratitude for his old debt to him.
    　It was later used as the Mizusawa City Community Center, and in October 2001 became the "Mizusawa City Hakaru Goto Memorial Community Center.

    Saito Makoto Memorial Museum

    Memorial hall for Saito Minoru (1858-1936), who was killed by a bullet during the February 26 Incident. A memorial hall built on the site of Saito Minoru's former residence. The old house has also been preserved and a glimpse of what life was like back then is open to the public. Inside the museum, medals and formal accessories showing the accomplishments of Minoru are on display. In particular, a cracked mirror that was hit by a bullet during the February 26 Incident vividly tells the story of the turbulent times.

    Chojagahara Abandoned Temple Ruins

    It is said to be the site of the residence of Yoshitsugu Sanjo, and also the site of the residence of the Abe clan, known as the Asahi Choja. The foundation stones of the south gate, main hall, and west tower remain.

    Nishidate Senju Kannon

    It is said to have been made in the late Nara period or early Heian period, and is made from a single piece of zelkova, about 2 meters long.
