Kimura Sakae Memorial Museum

    Memorial Hall for Sakae Kimura (1870-1943), the astronomer who discovered the Z term. To honor the achievements of Dr. Sakae Kimura, the first director of the Latitude Observatory, who discovered the observational unknown "Z term" in 1892 and is world-renowned, the observatory was preserved in its original state when it was opened (in 1897) and turned into a memorial hall.
    From Mizusawa Esashi Station, transfer to the "Iwate Kotsu Haneda Ofunato Line Mizusawa Station Dori Bus Stop" and go to the Observatory Mae Bus Stop.
